Hi all, got this problem where the wiper keeps wiping at slow speed even when the switch is in the off position. Some days it works normally, others it just won't stop! I am sure the fault is not with the motor as I have tested the wires on the motor when the fault is there and it is being supplied with power where it shouldn't be. Can anyone tell me where the control/relay box is located for the wiper? The car is a 1994, Cheers Alex

Try dismantling the stalk by prising off the end cap. Give the switch inside a good clean and chances are that'll do it. Did on mine anyway.

This will either be the stalk on the combination relay in the section behind the fusebox. The combo relay is easier to replace than the stalk - for that the airbag & wheel need to come off

IIRC the combo relay is on the left hand side at the front and has about 15 pins. There's a bigger relay to the right of it

Have you disconnected the battery recently?

That had mine doing the same thing until I pulled the fuse and turned the ignition on and off a few times.

I have pulled the fuse to stop it, but this didn't cure it. I will inspect the stalk and relay tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestions guys! :D

Did you get the correct fuse? They run A-1-2-3-4, etc, so the second fuse across isn't #2

Ask me how I know...

I'm just glad no-one asked me how I know the fuel gauge doesn't go all the way to empty on my new w124...

I will take a guess that your instinct told you that the fuel gauge was not correct and tanked before you ran out
