- 1990 W126 300SE - 50 shades of blue
Good evening all,
Does anyone have an idea of value for my 1990 w126 300se? 3.0 petrol automatic, 208k miles, extensive service history with over £2k of bodywork in early 2023 and a new stainless exhaust earlier this year. When the bodywork was done I never had the car resprayed because it lives outside, so the affected areas were painted blue (not the same blue, it seems).
Cosmetically it is a bit tatty, the chrome bumpers are rather holey and there is a few scuffs on the paint. There is a dent in the driver's side rear door and the boot paint is flat as a pancake. Lacquer peel is present mainly on the edges of the roof and the boot lid. Inside there is a tear in the driver's seat back, the rear headrest fabric is split and the speaker covers in the rear window are in pieces.
I have owned the car since July 2022, when I bought it on a whim to fulfil a childhood dream. I'm in no rush to sell, the plan is to sell it next spring/summer, reasons being I have no dry storage for it (hence the lack of respray) and I'm looking to purchase a house so something has to give. I love the old thing to bits but I feel my time with it is coming to an end. MOT until April 2025 with no advisories!
As aforementioned, I am mainly looking for people's opinions on what it might be worth. Be honest, you won't offend me!
I will add some pictures in a reply to this thread.
