Evening,

It's my first post and I am relatively new to the world of MB.
I've just bought a lovely clean low milage 500SE, but I am unsure of the factory wheels and tyre sizes. They are 205 65 15.

Any ideas as there is nothing in the handbook.

Thank You

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I do recognise those rims from the diagram, I thought they were more early eighties.

I'll keep em' on for now though.

Thanks Again

:D

I was a little confused there with the drawing of the wheel.

It is defo a 126 and I have since seen a few pics on the web of my same wheel on some 126's with the same size tyre.
It was the size of my tyres that threw me, I thought they were a little narrow for the size of the car.

I have also seen many 140's with the identical wheel too. Do you think mine have been added later or from new?(it is a 1990 126)

Thanks again for your help.

I do not think that your wheels are the original, they are newer and as you say too narrow.

In the wheel section there is a list of what fits what by Chris Murray, see if you can find it, I will look as well

I'll keep looking, now I know to look for.

Don't worry about it, you've been more than helpful.

It would be handy with a little glue on that one, though I could bookmark it
