W129 Damp Door Speaker Covers

After the heavy rain we have had over the last couple of days I have noticed that the cloth covers on my lower speakers seem to have suffered from rising damp!! both sides have suffered, the N/S being the worst. the damp seems to be coming from the bottom up, which is confusing. There are no visible water leaks inside the vehicle anywhere else, looking at the construction of the door trims it is puzzling how this is happening. Any one else out there had or having this problem? Any idea's?

Take the screw out from the bottom and remove the grill, to see what its like from behind.

stats 007 may know if the leaking roof seals could do this, but I cant see it being from there.
