I have a friend with the same CL500 as mine, same colour spec year etc.
His car has a problem, the engine runs rough with a misfire, sometimes the EPC and ABS light come on and on a restart go off, sometimes the car stalls at lights etc but restarts ok.
I replaced or swapped from my car
new plugs
coil packs x8
air flow meter
electronic throttle
engine ECU
Ive replaced some breather hoses as they where perished.
Still no change, diags show errors with ME, PSE, EGS all cleared and didnt return but I know tomorrow after some driving ME with reappear.
With the key on postion 2 all dash lights on the electronic throttle can be heard making a loud constant noise which changes in pitch over a several seconds.
My assumption is that the engine harness is possibly at fault here, but I could be wrong does anyone else have any input please as I would like to get this CL fixed without fitting parts (loom) to no result.
