W140 - S-Class Window question. Help please.

The drivers door was wrenched form my hand in high winds. As a result, I had to force the door to close. Subsequently, there was a bit of a 'crunch', the door-stay no longer worked - and neither did the drivers door window. It now only opens about 1/3rd of what it should.

Am I right in assuming that the out-of-alignment door-stay damaged the window actuator?
