Hi Folks,

I'm working through all the little niggles on my S320. One of which is the complete mess that the previous owner made of the Stereo system! god know why he tried to wite an amplifier and x over network! I think the standard speakers look like they should be loud enough!

Anyway, my problem is that I want to revert back to the original wiring. Has anyone got the wiring diagrams for the stereo / speakers etc.?

Many thanks!

Ian.

If it's like a W124 of the same era there should be two or three looms coming up to the headunit. One has the speaker connections and the other is the power / ignition switched power / earth / etc. The electric aerial remote will be in another loom

The speaker wires goes something like grey & grey/white, brown & brown/white, etc, with each grouping being a pair for an individual speaker. You can track down which speaker using a 9-volt battery across the wires and listening for the click

The power & etc wires you can track down with a multimeter

Then you'll need to locate a pinout for the head unit

S Class S320 ICE data needed

Read this thread looking for a Wiring Diagram.

Decided to get rid of the Pioneer Cassette & CD player to replace with something that has an input socket for my MP3 player (don't I move with the times!!) and see an awful lot of entrails in the hole. Th eunit has has a remote which is like a brick and probably has never been used, adding to the wiring.

The Aiwa unit I want to replace it with, I have previously used in another car but I have lost the circuit diagram. What I seem to recall is

Yellow is fused 15a and therefore to the battery
Blue Power Antenna has a 0.5a fuse and is for the Antenna
Red accessories ?
Brown to ignition ?
Black Earth ?
Orange Illumination ?

What Ive pulled out of the hole seems to be a black cable with inline fuse, which comes out as orange, splits and goes on as Orange to a 10am spade fuse and then to a black box (fuse?) and then to a white block which contains the eight speaker leads and a black cable and fixes into the Radio.

Anyone have the S320 wiring diagram for the stereo as am puzzled by whats in place?

Thanks
