W140 service indicator reset

hi there all.
i have searched abt the reset ans found these 2 methods.

1) Switch ignition on and immediately press button o twice
2) Switch ignition off and Press and Hold Button o while switching on Ignition.
3) After 10 seconds the new Interval will appear in the display, accompanied by a beep.
4) Release the button and switch the Ignition off.


and


1) Turn Ignition key to position one.
2) Press and Hold Button o), after 10 seconds the new service interval will appear in the display, accompanied by a Beep.
3) Release button o and switch Ignition off.



anyway. tried both these and they dont work. is there another method? please help.

Hi

Are you trying to get rid of the spanner display ?
If you are, then try method 1 again.

After pressing button twice, don't switch ignition all the way off, only turn back to position 1. The second method will not work on 140s

3) After 10 seconds the new Interval will appear in the display, accompanied by a beep.
4) Release the button and switch the Ignition off.
