:( Air Horn fitted with engine compartment, no problemo.
Need help on getting positive feed cable from air horn to horn switch in the cabin. How do you route a cable from within the cabin into the engine compartment ? and where ?

Malcolm, thanks for the response,
I purchased the air-horn and have mounted this in the engine compartment, next to the battery compartment.

The horn push will be fitted on the dash, not decided best place. Need to route the positive wire from the horn push to the battery or to other source for feed.

Horn unit needs 12v positive supply, fused to 25amp with negative to earth.

I've looked where to get the wiring through the dash, but unable to find a grommit or other to push the wire through.

Any ideas on how I can complete the installation,

Thanks again and regards from another pensioner.

This is not easy,,the best way to get a wire through is through the rear of the nodule box, along with the wires that pass into the cab. If not then a hole must be drilled, and use a rubber grommet. take car of whats on the other side when you drill

The fuse box is in front 0f the module box, you can take a wire from the live bus bar that runs down one side of the fuses or modules, this is all time live, or there are some Ignition on live, then run this to a separate in line fuse.

To take a live feed from the Bus bar, just use any spare fuse, break it open and solder a wire onto the blade and push it into the bus bar

eveing Malc, well in that case, the module box on the n,s you was refering to has a channel from behine the dash into the module box, no need for cutting holes etc, pick up a live as you said from a spare bar, i would use a stright blade connector instead of a fuse but good idea!!!

Hi Colechelle,

Thanks for note on existing horn feeds, I'd like to have separate air horn, so I need to take positive wire from bus spare bar inside front driver's side fuse box. After this I have to route the positive wire to the horn push button and then onto the air horn.

Thanks to you all for ideas, will advise on what I do to get over the horn working.

If you use the live feed as Cole said from the existing, then you only have to get the return from the horn switch back down to the air horn, and it will all be fused correctly
