W163 ML Bumpers

Hi, Could anyone tell me whether its possible to fit the bumpers from the newer W164 model to my older version?
There's lots of newer style ones on EBay but not many older style.

Do you mean the newer shape 163 with fogs etc against the ones without on a 163

the W164 is a completly different car so nothing will line up??

Just to add, the bumpers for w163 changed circa end 2001 with the introduction of the facelifted ML's. The facelifted bumper will fit non-facelifted ML's (I looked into this for myself) but you will have issues if you have Bumper Bars (bull bars in non-pc parlance). Extra wiring may also be needed if you fit the facelifted bumper with in-built driving lights.

Cheers guys, I came across a new shape W164 in the car park at work today and took some rough measurements and they door appear to be similar. The front wings are identcal except for the side indicator repeater hole..

Couldnt say for sure on this one. I know the Bulls for the original (pre-facelift bumper) do not fit the facelift bumper as the facelift bumper stands more proud. I have Chrome Front and Side Bulls and to fit the new facelift bumper, Id have to dump the Chrome Bulls and fit a eco-friendly Bull bar (ie no substance, break easy).

Side bars should fit no problem on both car versions.
