Hi All -
I have recently bought a 2003 ML270 W163, and just getting round to sorting the inevitable minor niggles and faults. One fault which is intermittent is the rear right side signal/turn lamp sometimes works and sometimes does not - (bulb is good) - Of course, when I remove the cluster with the other right side indicators firing double speed, as soon as it is removed, the rear indicator, and the other 2 (front and mirror) start working normally - And no amount of wiggling of the connector or wires can get the fault to return - That is, until the light cluster is re-installed.
Wife has taken the car out, so while I consider cutting out a section of the indicator wire and replacing with new, is there any known faults which occur with the lamp holder (looks pretty solid - no corrosion - and unlikely to be the issue, or the connector?) - Also, does anyone know if the rear light harness is a single entity which could be replaced (eg - a connector on the other end), or does it join up with harness from left side and become a big issue to replace?
Many thanks
