W163 ML270CDi Brake Problem

Can anybody help, my 2002 ML 270CDi has developed a braking problem, whilst driving along the BAS/ESP, ETS and ABS lights come on, along with the Brake warning light, all this accompanied with a beeping noise, still have brakes at this point but as i pull over to a gentle stop the ABS cuts in. Turn of the ignition, remove key. Start again and all is normal, only for it to happen again randomly. Anybody any ideas,

I've only had my ML a couple of weeks, and have yet to get hold of a workshop manual. In fact, I haven't even had a look underneath it yet, so I may be talking rubbish here:

It sounds to me like you could have a misbehaving ABS sensor. I would look at the outer ends of the driveshafts and see if there is anything preventing the sensors from reading the wheel rotation correctly, and then check the circuitry.

It also looks like wheel sensors to me,by the nature of the way it is behaving.
