Hi. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience of turbo boost issues on a W164. ML 320. 2006 or similar.

Car was driving perfectly with no issues. Went to drive the next day and there's no turbo boost. It drives ok just take a long time to get up to speed. You can do 70+mph on a dual carriage way. It just takes longer to get the there than normal so I'm assuming that it's not a limp mode issue.

There were no fault codes showing or lights illuminate.

Removed the maf sensor connection and it drove the same. Checked inside the turbo actuator and it's like new in there with no corrosion. Having disconnected the maf it's now showing the engine management light however I'd guess this would disappear after several miles.

Any ideas from the above as to the cause ? Thanks in advance for any guidance

Check hoses for splits.
Hi. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated. Kind of the strangest thing really. Was literally taking the car to the garage I use to get a diagnosis this evening. Stopped to get fuel as it was on quarter of a tank. On driving away it was back to normal.

I'm assuming there was an airlock or similar in the system. Of all my 35+ years of driving never had such an issue resolved before !

Will see how it goes I guess. I know there's a sign on the filler cap that state that you must close it at least 3 clicks which I always do. Maybe just a freak anomaly - time will tell !
