W164 flat battery

Fellas a friends w164 keeps letting them down

new battery fitted charging seems ok
Lasts about a dayor 2 then won’t start

has a run every day

I see circuit 15r short to positive fault on rear Sam

I can get full readout if needed

any thoughts

check rear drivers side access panel in the boot. Water leak into here from rear light / 3rd brake ligh is common and as a result the rear SAM gets wet. I have had this on 2 x 164’s now. Check for water in this area.

I found a way to position it into a vertical position to prevent a 3rd. I cured it for a year or so but it did happen again. I believe on the later model they moved the SAM away from this area.
