Hi new to the forum

My ML uk model has a heating issue Only slight heat comes out of front vent when blower on low setting . Turn blower up goes cold . No heat at all to the rear . New circulation pump fitted no joy .
Has been on diagnostics a couple of times all water temps correct and new thermostat fitted 6 months ago .
Only thing that came up on scan was a sticking heat flap actuator.
Trouble I have no diagram of which and where behind the dashboard is the heat flap actuator and how do i get to repair without taking whole dash out . Any help would be so grateful as the weather has now turned cold

Hello and welcome,

Worth having a check on the duo-valve before stripping the dash

Hi thanks for the reply .just had a quick look It does not look like it has one . I can see the air con pipes and heater pipes going inside the back bulkhead but cannot see a valve unless buried right inside bulkhead. To be honest I did read about the valve but don't know if 2011 has one . Thanks

If you've dual temp gauges for passenger and driver then you'll have a duo-valve (unless the ML has some other method of separating the temps that I'm not aware of)

Yes it has got separate temp gauges . Problem I have I can only see the 4 pipes going into the bulkhead with no valve unless it sits inside bulkhead . Usually u can see them before going through the bulkhead. May have to ring mercedes parts and ask if they stock them with the VIN number . Thanks
