As soon as my 2006 ML 320 gets up to temp, the climate control ceases to function, and the car blows hot air at the windscreen no matter what I do. Even pressing the off buttom, hot air blows on the windcreen.
Does anyone have any clue how I tackle sorting this out? Fault codes at my indy garage I use for servicing hasn't shown anything up. I'll try a merc specialist next but I wondered if this was a known issue. The car is a daily beater (and has been for the last 5 years), a job its been brilliant for, and I'm keen to keep it going as long as possible. Everything else works and it still dives great.
If its a full dash out job to repalce those motorised flappy valves, I'll do it, but I need to know that I can solve really it before I start taking it all apart.
It seems strange that its only when the car gets up to temp. I get air out of the correct vents when the car is warming up. If the flaps had failed, wouldnt they have failed no matter what the engine temp? Could it be a module of some sort?
