W166 rear view mirror

Long story very short. My rvm was knocked hard enough to remove it from the screen. There's a 3 sided claw on the mirror & a 3 sided base on the screen & it looks like the mirror should just clip back on .... but it doesn't seem to want to play. Am I not being forceful enough or have I bu66ered it up?

sorted it.

You don't try to push/force it over the triangular-ish base, it goes on 120 degs out & it's twisted into place. :)
