W169 facelift wingmirrors to earlier W169

Hi. We are using a 2005 for my wife to learn and take the exam.

I do not like the size of the original mirrors and I noticed that on 2009 the mirrors got bigger.

I wonder if anyone had swap those successfully and what would entail? Stright swap? not too bad?

From what I remember they are very different on the facelift, the location is different and then wiring too, there may be however a way to make them fit but probably not simply
