I'm after any advice about what type of tow bar to fit to my A180 automatic. I'll only want to tow a little trailer with it but wondered what make of tower to consider. Any advice much appreciated!

Dreaming of a CL55k - one day maybe....
Firstly check its homologated to have one. Then usual suspects - Towsure are good, but there will be someone doing one local to you - witter, something like that.

I’ve got a brand new brabus exhaust sitting in my garage for a W169. ;)

Sorry to be a bit dim - but how do I 'check that it's homologated'? Will that be specific to my vehicle or to the model?

Oooo! I had one of those on my Smart car. Mine's a diesel - what sort of difference does the exhaust make to that then?

Is there a sticker in the driver's door reveal with 4 weights on it? If there's just 2 ie max front axle weight & max rear axle weight with dashes where the other 2 could go, then you can not tow with it. If there are 4 weights showing, then the other 2 weights will be max vehicle weight & max train weight.

Thanks - I'll have a look. I wonder what the difference is between one you can and one you can't? Seems very strange...

Craig's the man to tell us. It can be something as simple as lower suspension.

Well many thanks for the advice - I've just looked and I do have four weights filled in on the sticker so that's great. I'm having all new suspension next week anyway to increase the ground clearance a little because it scrapes the undertray on the track down to my house so that will be even better.
