Hi everyone - started in the last week (following a few days of good old British rain, and then a very hot day or two).....I park up my W170 and lock it with the remote central locking and then after anywhere between 10 and 30 minutes, the hazards then start flashing rapidly. There's no horn alarm at the same time, so I'm assuming it's a short circuit somewhere but struggling to know where to start with this one. Other than this, and roof that is sometimes temperamental, she's been a reliable old girl.....anyone had anything similar?

Thx

Have a look below the carpets in the boot for water ingress

If it has a factory fit mb main dealer alarm, this would be the most likely culprit. Often located under the dash

Yes, the factory alarm sirens tend to play up as the internal batteries age. Some just disconnect the siren but there might be insurance implications.
