Hi
My 190E 1.8 has the familiar drone of the rear wheel bearing. I had the N/S rear done a few years back and now the O/S one has started up.
I chickened out last time as I was busy with a house move etc, but feel I might have a go if its not to grueling. With various other cars, I have removed the whole hub carrier and asked a garage to source the bearing and press out the old one and push in the new one, then I refit the hub to the car.
The rear suspension looks complex with all the links so was worried about taking all this off an affecting alignment etc.
Is it easy to take the bearing out in situ? I have a 2 leg puller and had done other bearings. Must admit they are not my favourite job
