Hello all, Ive just registered for this forum from a recommendation. I have been using a couple of others too and they all seem great so Im hoping this ones is as friendly and useful.

My first question if anyone can help is that I have just purchased a 2.5-16v which I am converting (tastefully) into a road going track day car and the only real work which I am stumbling on is the suspension.
I would like to remove the SLS and install some good aftermarket uprated units both front and back such as adjustable shocks and springs or if available coilovers. I see most aftermarkets only lower up to 40mm and I was hoping to get it a bit lower if atall possible?

Can anyone help with how to remove the SLS and where to get any parts required for blanking off pipes or the whole pump itself, I did want to keep the ASD working and I see it is all connected.

Any help on the technical side of doing this or recommendations for which suspension would be good for track use will be gratefully received.

Thanks all :D

Good to keep the ASD working as it is quite efficient even as a track car. As for the SLS, the best bet would be to just find the feed line, find the return line & join the two together with a good quality hose. It is also possible to lower the car further by changing the top spring cup rubbers. These are of different heights to fine tune the geometry. The fronts have 5 settings & the rear have 3. Have a look at them & see how many "pips/nipples" are moulded on them. 1 is low, so if you have 5 (on the front) you can lower it further. Each "pip" is equivalent to about 5mm. hope this helps.
