w202 c220 cdi strange noise

I have recently purchased a C220 CDI :lol: and I have noticed a whistling noise when i accelerate from 0 to 30 mph . At higher speeds the noise disappears. On occassion a couple of passengers have thought that sound was of a police siren in the distance.

Does anyone have a similiar problem with their merc?

probably some kidy fitted a noisey dump valve ( turbo you know )

It's probably just the whistle from the turbo spooling up, the noise is not so noticable at higher speeds because there is more other noise that drowns it out.
