Oh dear. Are you really serious about this? If so then you really need to do some research. Anyway - for starters electric superchargers are just for the most part useless rubbish. The only way to properly supercharge a car engine is to get a reputable tuning parts manufacturer's after market kit if one is made for your car and get it fitted by a decent garage that are used to working on tuning cars.

Other things to consider: You'll need to have the engine management re-mapped in order to make sure that your fuelling etc is correct - this may mean that you need to also add the cost of a proper replacement engine management system in case the one in your car cannot deal with the extra fuelling and timing issues. Also mind the level of boost - any form of supercharging increases the efective compression ratio of the engine - go too high and you'll get detonation and melt your pistons. This is why most engines built with turbos etc also need to be running lower compression ratios that NA cars and therefore need extensive head work and rebuilds with different pistons, headgaskets etc in order to run the high boost that gives them the big power.

Anyway, thats just a few things off the top of my head. To be honest if you really want a faster W202 based Merc then your best bet is to sell the 280 and get either an AMG C36 or C43 as believe me, by the time you've properly tweaked your 280 for reliable power anywhere near what the C36 or C43 can offer stock you will have more than spent the cost of just buying one of those in the first place.

Just my 2p for what its worth ;)

Cheers,
Mark
