Hi,
Mercedes 1998 C43 amg W202
A strange sound that appears when the engine is at idle and at slight revs
I believe its a vacuum leak as it only goes away when i press on the egr valve diaphragm. I have replaced the egr valve and the sound was present with the old unit.
Also replaced were thew 3 breather pipes, Resealed the breather covers and put in a new gasket for valve covers.
I have removed and cleaned the throttle body, new gasket etc and the sound still remains.
