W202 Deadlocking

Hi,
Does anyone know whether a W202 Pre face-lift would have deadlocking?
If so how is it actuated?
Is it by the remote?
Any info gratefully recieved,

Don't know about the W202, but do know that the 211 doesn't.

It's a *safety thing* according to MB (possibly accident wise?)
