w202 diesel

My mother in law has a c250 diesel on an R plate.She started it yesterday without waiting for the glow plug light to go off.The car started,idled for a couple of mins then stopped running.The car will now not start.It has been well looked after and is regularly serviced.

Has my in law caused the problem or is it just circumstantial.

I forget all the time and just turn the ignition on.
Bit more info would probably help the more technical guys suss out your problem.
Do the electrics still work?
Does the engine turn over?

Cheers,it is just typical,in law says car is broke,wife says I can sort it by asking on forum,looks like I am goona be the bad boy if it's not sorted.

I will try to get more info tonight.

Has it got fuel in it?

Try turning on the ignition a few times 3 or 4 times in turn each waiting for the light to go out. Could have run out of diesel though , check the translucent pipes near the fuel filter for bubbles.

It sounds like a fuel problem.
