Hi,
Since buying my C43 AMG a few months ago i have been considering replacing the standard door speakers.
Having trawled the Internet i found my options limited to upgrading the standard speakers or door builds, and no site had Mercedes in their fitment lists for door builds or if they did they looked tacky.
Today i went to see a friend of mine who owns his own car stereo buisness having owned a C43 himself i thought he could advise me on my choices.
He had there some german made door builds he never got round to fitting to his car.
Well to cut a long story short i bought them and they do look nice they include 2 bass speakers, 1 tweeter, 1 mid-range and crossover per side and the door build still maintains a standard look i think. I paid £250 for them just wondered what people thought of them.
Have i been ripped off?
Check out the link below,

The ones i bought are black and have the speakers shown supplied, they also do some other door builds for 210s and 203s as well as other makes of cars.

Hi,
Yes thats what attracted me to them the quality is excellent i just hope they fit as well as the ones in the web site pictures. I wondered if any other member had heard of them or had any of their products before
Apparently according to the guy who sold them to me the speakers are 'MB Quart' but rebadged for Jehnert and would be worth around £400 on their own.
I,m now looking for a good quality 2x100-200w Amp with a 2 ohm output but will have to be quite small in physical size, any suggestions?

I do not do so much of this as I used to, but one basic rule stays the same, the bigger the amp the less the chances of blowing the speakers.

100W is fine, I would not go bigger. Its great that you have overcome the difficult task of upgrading the speakers in a nice manner

Hi,
I have finally fitted these door builds and i,m so pleased with look of them, they sound superb they are fitted with 2 subs and a mid-range in each door and a tweeter you can point in any desired direction mounted by the mirror trim.
I thought I would post a couple of pics to see what the forum's opinion is.

Hi Andy - have to agree, they look the business! 8) They have such a clean, OEM look - very nice indeed :) Will be nice to hear what they sound like at a meet/gtg at some point. Might just invest in some myself when I change my headunit as a stereo upgrade is on the cards at some point for mine :)

Cheers,
Mark

Very nice indeed. No way anyone would be able to tell the difference.

Thanks for the positive comments, I,m really pleased with the result and they do sound fantastic, the only thing I,m a little annoyed about is as the C43 these panels were ordered for did,nt have puddle lights and since having fitted puddle lights in my car with fitting of these door panels I,ve lost them, looking at the website they can be fitted but it looks like i,ll have to jigsaw or chain drill the door builds to fit the lights.
I,ve done the stereo uprade thing and gone for an Alpine DVD/Tuner as shown in the link and the door builds are running off a Kicker 2/200 Amp with the rear speakers running off the stereo outputs.
