w202 ecu problems

First posting-please help.I have a 95 C280 straight 6.cylinders 1 & 6 stopped a week or 2 ago,from net picked up std fault,replaced coil pack et,cure lasted 2 miles.sent ecu off for repair,just been advised NO FAULT.Anyone know what to do next?? cheers PaulK:(

Hi Paul, electrically, this can be the plug(s), plug boots, wiring ecu-to-coil, ECU output stage broken/unglued.

Fuel wise, it can be crud in fuel rail (affects rearmost cyl the most like sediment in a river bend!), bad injector or injector wiring.

Assuming wiring loom is good, I would pull the fault codes and see why the ECU decided to turn the cyl pair off. If the loom has bad insulation, ignore the fault codes and change the loom before it kills more components through shorts.

(I think I emailed you the code reader specs and code meanings etc?)

The best fix I could suggest would be for you to purchase a Red C180 thats already been LPG converted, and sell your C280 for spares

could be pricey , definately more than a AX , but cheaper than C280
