I Own A W202 Estate Which I Love But It Is Starting To Rust,i Have Contacted Mercedes Who Have Told Me To Take It To A Local Dealer Anyone Done This Before.

I have heard Mercedes pays for the work,What is the catch.I had a old Shogun previous to this car and not a trace of any rust.Not what i would expect from a Mercedes

I think it is the salt on the roads in Europe. I own a 202 and there is absolutely no rust........ But tconversely I have to put up with the dust. Mercedes brought in a 30 year warranty in I think October 1998. If your car was made before this date you will have problems.
There is nothing wrong with the 202 at all. It is a very well built and safe vehicle. Despite the rust issues I would say you have not bought a lemon as most of the other members who own, or have owned one, here on this forum will testify.
