Good Morning

Whilst playing golf the other day some kind soul ran some sharp object down the side of my car resulting in a scratch (which will polish out) and a broken nearside indicator lens.

Please can I ask for your usual fantastic advice -

I own a 1995 W202 C200 Sport with clear front indicator lenses.

What I would like to know is, can I buy an indiviual lens for the nearside or does the whole indicator unit need to be replaced ? If so, where can I find the best deals ? and further to that is it easy to fit / replace etc etc ? and if not is there a friendly local (Burgess Hill in West Sussex) specialist around here ??

I have previously tried to repair my sticky single wiper without success so this will have to be 'numpty-proof' !!!

Thanking you all in advance !!

Check your dealer first. I've always found MB to be very reasonable for such items. Mad for anything remotely electronic but for lenses, trims etc usually quite fair. Plus you guarantee you get the right part.

Hi Richard, unit is very easy to remove / replace. Open bonnet, at the rear of the unit (beside headlamp) there is a plastic release clip, depress this and push unit out = it slides in / out on little plastic guides, release the cable connection on rear of unit and replace unit. Fitting is basically a reverse of the procedure, but you only need to line up the plastic guides and push the unit back into the bodywork - job done. :D
