Hi all my 95 C180 seems high over the front wheel arch than normal, would this indicate that the shocks have or are on the way out and ride at the front of the car seems harder now as as well.
Anyone have any ideas.
Thanks.

Shock obsorbers play no part in the height of the car, their only function is to dampen the spring.

The wishbone bolts can sieze on these cars and need cutting off to replace.

It's likely the nearside.

Press on each front corner and see if there is a discernable difference in the suspension between each side ie. is one side stiffer than the other side.

If it is the case you will likely need new wishbone or possibly just the joints, but labour is high to replace joints.

There is also a possibility your tyres will wear out of spec as the siezed joint will put more strain on the other joint on that same wishbone.
