W202 Green light?

I have a 1993 w202 esprit (c180) On the light switch cluster inside the car, there is a green light immediately above the height adjustment wheel for the headlights. It's never come on and I was wondering whether it is an after sales add on for an alarm or something to do with the fog lights or parking lights. Any ideas, am sure you have!? Thanks

Not a standard fitting as far as i know.

yeah, had handbook out too, and nothing in there either. It actually looks standard, but guess it's had something to do with an alarm. Guess I should only start worrying if it comes on.
