W202 rear rose joint replacement..any tips?

One of mine is squeaking like there's no tomorrow. Sounds horrendous and embarrassing lol.
With the special tool is it possible to change them in situ ? What has to be removed beyond the big bolt which goes through the rose joint?
Any link for the special tool would be much appreciated. I've spotted one on eBay for about 40 quid
