W202 Speaker upgrade

Hi

I would like to upgrade the factory speakers for better quality direct replacements, does anyone klnow of a reputable make that make component speakers for this model,if not can anyone suggest any ideas without too much alteration to the interior?

You do not mention the car or radio, if it is a standard Becker the impedence is 1 ohm are there are no speakers out there better than what you have. you will have to change the whole thing to upgrade.

Sorry - i upgraded the head unit to a Alpine 9861.

Its just a case now of finding something that will fit, many people make up a new baffle out of MDF using the old speaker as a template.

Hi,
You can also put in 6x9's in the rear shelf as i have in my w202, i think the front door speakers are ok and if you get the standard ones for the rear doors and tweeters you get an ok sound.
If your going to replace all the i would look at component speakers which would drop right in without any problems
