W203 alarm problem

i have a 04 plate 200 kompressor c class and just recently the alarm has been actin strange by going off all the ****** time lol.... what i mean is when the car is locked ( by the fob ) the indicators flash straight away then fob pressed again the car is armed . after about 5 mins all starts to flash again but this time when pressed again to de-activate it this is when the siren starts to sound then press fob to turn off . and its the same all over again ............. any 1 who can help please do so as i`m really starting to give up ............................

Have an 02 C220 Coupe which had a similar problem. Turned out that the Siren for the alarm was the problem. It's behind the splash guard on the passenger side front wheel. Replaced it and the problem with flashing indicators was solved..:D

thanks jim lee but as usual today has been and gone and not a peep from it ( wont speak to soon lol)but i`ll wait and see what comes out of it now..... the wife decided to reverse into a tree other week leaving a few small dents on the boot lid and cracking the boot lid brake light and thats me away thinking that maybe water is in and messing with the wiring or that ............

Yes mine did that too. Some days it would behave itself and i thought that it could be something to do with wet days but when it was put on the MB Diagnostic Computer it showed up as a faulty Siren.

Hi

Siren is definatley most likley but I have had a couple of c class coupe's recently which needed rear screens due to faults in the glass breakage sensor, get fault codes and if no fault code present siren at fault

cheers lads for the quick reply`s and hope the prob is simple enough but ma friend who is a auto electrician informs me today that he has been giving the new mb software last week by his gaffer so he`s going to pop round at wk /end and have a butchers . i`ll post outcome for future ref for other users ....................
