Hi all. Need some help. Whilst driving today the BAS and ESP warnings are being displayed. After about 15 mins the engine management light came on also and the car feels a bit jerky when pulling away in first gear. I am a bit worried that the ECU may be gubbed due to all these warnings. Anyone have any suggestions. I have checked the battery voltage and it is fine
Car is an 2003 and has only done 26,000 miles.

This could be poor contacts on the ESP module or a speed signal gone,,, this will give you the engine limp home mode lamp and the gearbox doing odd things

Easier to get the fault codes read out ,an indie can do this

Have been doing a bit more searching on the site and found some posts that point to it possibly being the brake switch. Is this possible on my car. I think it is actually a 2002 but on an 03 plate??

as far as i know the Brake light switch wouldnt cause the engine management light.

it is a very common cause of the ESP/BAS warnings though. it is possible your car is like mine, 2002 sports coupe, it doesnt have a removable brake light switch, its built in. Some of them do and some dont! - either way i really dont think its causing the engine management.
