Hi im new!!!
I've recently purchased a c200K 2001 coupe auto (with 68K on it) and getting very fed up with it already!

My cruise control dies and all power drop's! its happened once before and lasted 3 days and its started again today! Ive tried disconnecting all sensors and reconnecting but the had no luck...(ive only had the car for a week)

I got it plugged into a machine at some back street garage the last time it happened and the error code that came back was "54/ secondary air system". Now when i asked the garage which sensor it was he didnt know and told me to bring it back when it happened again!!!

does anyone know what this could be? The engine light hasnt come on again yet but it drives as if the supercharger isnt working at all and the cruise control tells me to take the car to the workshop!!

The last time it happened I was driving around for 3 days with no power and CC then suddenly the engine check light came on, the power came back and the cruise control started to work again!!!

Please help i wanna get rid of it already im getting that fed up

Thankks

Christian

Sounds very like a MAF sensor fault sending the car into limp mode.

Hi,

Is the MAF sensor on the black tubing on the right side of the engine?

£50 wouldnt be bad if i didnt have to pay if it didnt work! I take it the results would be instant and you think the Air flow meter is faulty?

Is the air flow meter the same as a MAS sensor?

Is the whole thing plastic tube with a connector on the side?

If it didnt work could i post it back?

self adapting so the car would see the air meter as working correctly, looking at EPC looks like your meter is different to the I have in stock.

Will get back to you later.

I just tried disconnecting the sensor and it made NO difference to way the car drives with no more errors or anything?

Does this confirm the problem?
