One for malcom i think.I have to get around to change the glow plugs,I have at least one off.When testing with the multimeter,what OHME setting to you use on the meter,2K, 20K, not sure and what sort of reading would I see on a dud plug.

Greetings John,

You will need the most sensitive range your meter will allow, eg 200 ohms. 2K will do but you will be looking for about a 1 ohm reading on each plug between the electrode and a good earth - eg the engine.

Best done by measuring the current drawn, feed each plug one at a time from the battery via an ammeter, expect around 10-15A falling slightly as the plug heats.
