Quick question on behalf of a mate of mine who owns a 2002 C270CDi.
He has a common problem on his car I believe, ie the ABS/BAS warning keeps coming up on the central display and its driving him mad.
The local dealership has replaced the sensors which tends to fix things for a short while, but sure enough the problem comes back within days/weeks.
I have read on a US forum that this is a common problem and that there should now be some sort of bulletin that has gone out to the dealers telling them how to fix the problems. The amount of mis-information on this problem seems to be vast, with recommendations of new wiring harness to the ECU, new BAS/ESP module+ an update to the software in the module, to new sensors, and finally new cable connectors and a wiring harness.
Does anybody out there know the true fix to this problem and can they confirm that a bulletin has gone out to the dealerships to fix this problem.
