I have just had my car in to a specialist garage for an MOT. A front suspension coil spring & a new steering rack had to be fitted to pass the MOT. When I collected my car, it was driving really flat & had no power. It has never had this fault prior to this & does not recover after turning off the ignition like some posts on here. I believe that the garage has created this fault during this work & I'm in dispute with them. Am I justified in saying this or just unlucky. Any thoughts ? The car has covered 75k miles by the way.

Have a word with them, someone working on the car may have inadvertently caused the fault, I'm sure they will a look over their work to check everything is ok.... It is always disconcerting when a customer complains about an unrelated fault on a car

Thanks for thr comments. It just seems too coincidental, that fault should occur for first time straight after this work. They were very dismissive & tried to say fault must have been there before, which it wasn't. They did send me a print out that they took from their diagnostics. I'm not sure what I was supposed to do with it, any idea what this fault would show up as on a diagnotsic report ?

I have even know cases where MAFs have been changed on cars, tho it would be foolish to suggest such things unless one had evidence..
