Hello, I have a 2002 C32 Estate, it seems to have enough speakers, even a small 6 inch bass speaker in the rear right side of the boot.
Still the sound is crap.

I have tried to reset the comand unit, adjust the sound settings to have more bass, less treble, fader etc,.. but all in all it is tinny and high pitched.

If you crank it up really loud.. it actually starts to fill in and sound more bassy and full. But at a low volume its very "tinny sounding" and not what I expected from all those speakers.

Anyone else notice this?

Audio 20, is that what the C32 has?

I look to have 8 x Bose speakers.. but honestly.. they are all "tinny sounding" and not any bass at all until I crank her up a bit.

If I lower the treble, it just becomes very muddy.

Perhaps the investment of a superior bass speaker (sub) will resolve the issue.

The BOSE system sounds a bit tinny to me too. I never really noticed until I got the ML, which has the Harman Kardon, which sounds much richer.

Sadly I don't think you can do much about it, as my audio man leads me to believe that the head unit for BOSE outputs in optical to the BOSE amp, and cannot drive anything else... I may have understood him wrongly though!! Audio is not my specialist area.

If you are worried that your car is actually faulty, you could come to a GTG and I would be happy to show you mine... (Ooo err!)
