Hi there
I have been reading these forums about ESP faults and they all seem to be conflicting between a faulty brake light switch and a wiring loom problem.
I have a W203 C200 SPORTS COUPE 2001 KOMPRESSOR and get a ESP fault visit workshop coming up sometimes it comes up when you start it up and the next time it will not come up for days.
Can anyone help to try and solve this problem.
I have just changed the front springs lately and it just seem to start coming up with this fault not long after changing these.
Could this be the problem.
Cheers Tom.

First thing in the morning when you leave home or driveway, this can turn the ESP lamp on, My old SL did it when leaving the garage owing to slightly different ground levels,my new one does not, dont worry about it,if it comes on permanently, then start thinking.

I think that Robbo is asking the age of the battery as after a few years the residual voltage of 12.5 can fall with age, if the running voltage drops much below this figure this can bring about random electric faults.
Check it out with engine running and should be 13.8 volt.

I had very similar problems with mine, the battery was dying. New battery was fitted and there have been no problems since. Check the voltage as per televisions post.
