Hi, I replaced the front pads today on a C220cdi 51reg W203 and the brake lining warning wont go away on the dash, I reused the sensor wire because it was only just touched by the disc, I have now removed the sensor altogether and the warning is still on when I start the engine, whats going on, Steve.

hi steve.
the sensor wire is a loop, so removing it wont work. change it for a new one as the wire is very flimsy. you could check for continuity on the sensor but methinks it will be open circuit not closed indicating it has cut through.

regards ted

Thanks Ted that explains it, the loop is open circuit but it didnt look like the wire was cut through, I assumed they were 2 separate wires terminating at the sensor, Ill get a new one asap, cheers.
