W203 Interior aluminium door trim removal?

Can anyone help me in regards to removing the interior door trims of the door panel?

My aluminium trims are scratched and I’m looking to wrap them.

I tried to remove the passenger one and it just bent. They seem to be stuck firmly in place however when out they look like they should pop out providing you know the correct way to do so.

Does anyone know the correct way? Or tricks and tips?

Hello and welcome,

Some have tabs that go through the door card, so might need to get the door cards off first

Yup, exactly this, maybe better to source a second hand set off E-Bay

Remove card, melt the plastic tabs using a soldering iron. The speaker grills that always break are fitted the same way.
