W203 Sports Coupe 2002 Engine Management

Hi, i posted recently regarding my car in 3rd gear stuttered...

Well now its become quite a bad stuttering in all gears with loss of alot of power!

and the engine management light has come on

ideas?
mas/maf?

also, i found what looks like to be a piece of a filter of some sort in the engine bay! its dark grey, the text on it says "MIRK ULTRA F" i presume ULTRA FINE?
anyone know where the hell thats come from?!!?

You can unplug the MAF if the car drives better, then it is the MAF

½ the MB price from Bosch, any Bosch service center or GSF or Euro if the sell genuine Bosch

You have a missfire.

What colour is your engine cover? Red or black?

Hi, yes its black.

A common fault with the 271 engine is worn valve guides, this gives low compression, unfortunatly its a new head if this is ur fault. other than that a coil, or plug could cause this.
