I have a problem with the drivers wipers in my C220 hitting the windscreen pillar, especially at max speed. I removed the covers and discovered that a compression washer that holds the spindle in place had fallen off causing the spindle to move up and down. I got this back on, which stopped the vertical movement in the arm, but it still hits the pillar.
The parts man in the local dealer wasn't much help when I asked about a linkage, so I'm wondering what could be causing this. Just the linkage?
