Morning all. New MB owner having picked up a c220 AMG sport w204 a few weeks ago after my Audi was written off in the snow.
I have attempted to fit a 10.5 inch Android head unit over the weekend using the many video guides online. I managed to do all of the wiring with scraped knuckles and half a car removed but I have hit a brick wall on how to get the and unit back in with the extra wiring loom. On all YouTube videos they chose over this part and I cannot find any images of where they placed the wires. Just it is a tricky part.

After spending 4 hours in the dark last night I am at a loss as to where the chunky connector and black wires go.

Can anyone help me or ideally have a picture of where the wires fit to save me from a full meltdown? I currently have no stereo which is not ideal.

Many thanks in advance.

When I've fitted new head units I've had to move some existing wiring etc out of the way to make space - I'd take a good look into the space and see what is preventing the unit sliding into place.

Thanks mate, the gap is empty pretty much but it's so tight that adding the chunky connector and thick wires just make it so hard. Lots on YouTube have done it but just say it's tricky and don't show how they did it...

I'd measure the depth of the head unit and connector with a ruler then try that in the gap and see where the issue is. I did a great job cable tying all the leads in one then couldn't get it to fit... I had to carefully ease the cables into voids before it would sit fully home

It's an android head unit which comes with a very chunky set of wires and a cable connector. The challenge is it's not long enough to strap it all down and have space to connect it to the command unit. Has to be done in one action making pushing things out of the way as it slides in impossible. Thinking I might have to split the wire harnesses and try to spread them out a bit. Just concern this will leave them exposed to be damaged.

Yeah he convientley skipped past the part where you have to fit the loom in! Like all videos I watched. Wish it was as easy as they made out! Looks like a cable tie and gaffer tape job it is.
