W204 Auto gearbox advice?

Hi folks. I'm new here so firstly Hello!!

So I've bought a 62 plate C220 AMG Sport. The car is immaculate inside and out for it's age and never had one advisory in its entire history. It's just clicked 54k miles.

It's my first auto so maybe I'm just over thinking it.

When it's cold through gears 2 and 3 the car seems to rock forward during gear changes. No clunks or knocks, just a suttle rock forward and backward.

The car drives and pulls lovely through the gears when you slam your pedal down. Just at lower speeds it seems a bit funky.

Is this normal?
Shall I get it checked?
Any advice is greatly received

If your concerned about it , have the transmission oil service done.

It's probably not been done since new. Wouldn't hurt to do it now at 54k. Should be done every 4 to 5 years.

I would have a conversation with the garage you bought it from first , it could get expensive ??
But as above an atf change is worth putting on your list of to do jobs .

Nice low mileage .

Interval for your 7g+ gearbox is 77,500 miles or every 5 years .

Question is has it ever had one ?

Transmission oil is 236.15 and Fuchs was one of the developers and possible suppliers of the OEM oil to Mercedes .

Thanks for the responses, I'm going to book it in for a full service and get the gearbox done at the same time. As I bought it privately, I have no evidence of it's maintenance history unfortunately.

Welcome! If you can, find a good Mercedes independent garage. Make sure they drain the Torque Converter and Oil Cooler pipes too, often forgotten in a service however those items hold several litres of old fluid.

You could ask on here , some kind chaps have access to the mb ess . Just provide your vin.
