Which gearbox , 5 or 7 gears ?
Do you have a dipstick tube for the gearbox in the engine bay (5 speed) ?
The 7 speed is fill from below via the sump.
Fuchs is what I use .

You can't just guess , if there's no dipstick tube. Which there probably isn't. You can't pour any in like wighty said.

Pointless job if you don't fix the leak first . You can't pour any fluid in as there's no fill point .

As above, has to be pumped in the bottom.

Also these oil heat exchangers like to leak and mix coolant and gearbox oil together, so probably best to sort it.

Once the leak is fixed, you need the filling tool to pump oil into the transmission - ideally done on a ramp as the car must be level - find a MB specialist to do it.
